GTM Magazine is primarily designed for adult use. Parental consent is necessary for any minor under the age of 18. GTM reserves the right to ask any minor below the age of 18 for parental consent. Upon becoming aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information without verifiable parental consent, GTM Magazine will take immediate steps to delete this information from our servers.

Verification of Parental Consent

To ensure the person providing consent is the child’s parent or legal guardian, GTM Magazine utilizes a robust parental verification process. This process includes:

  1. Account Creation – Upon the initiation of the account creation process, should a user disclose an age under 18 years, a requirement for parental consent will be automatically activated.
  2. Email Verification – An electronic communication will be dispatched to the email address of the parent or guardian as furnished by the minor, encapsulating a verification link alongside a request for the provision of requisite permissions.
  3. Consent Form – Upon engagement with the verification link, a redirection occurs towards an online consent form. This form is instrumental in delivering exhaustive information concerning the data to be assimilated, its envisaged utilization, and the mechanisms through which the parent can retract consent or petition for data deletion. It mandates the parent or guardian to disclose their complete name, relationship to the minor, contact particulars, and furnish an electronic signature.
  4. Document Submission –  In some cases, the parent may be required to submit a digital copy of a government-issued identification to validate their identity and relationship to the minor.
  5. Verification Confirmation – Once all steps are completed and reviewed, a confirmation email will be sent to the parent or guardian indicating that the verification process is complete, and the minor’s account is now active.
